Hello Fuller Families,

We had a tremendously successful first day of school at Fuller, largely
because your children came to us eager to learn and ready to demonstrate
the Fuller Core Values: Respect, Responsibility, Results. The other
reason, of course is because of the commitment and care of the entire
Fuller staff, who greeted your children with enthusiasm, hope and warmth.

Quick notes:

1) Your child will be bringing home a copy of the Student/Family Handbook
today. There is a sign-off form that we need to collect back in the next
few days, once you have reviewed it with your child. We hope this is the
starting point to us working collaboratively with you, starting with
clarity of expectations. (Sign off sheet for English version is inside the
cover and for Portuguese and Spanish sign off sheets are inside the back
cover) Thank you.

2) Drop off and pick up is on the side of Fuller that is near Mass Bay
Community College. For the safety of all of our children, please do not
drop off or pick up in front of the school. We appreciate your cooperation
and understanding.

3) I will be meeting with all students by grade in a Community Meeting
this week. Today, I started with the 8th graders, who were wonderfully
attentive and respectful. The focus was on their leadership role in the
school, and the idea of a fresh start and working hard as a means of
success. I plan to meet with 7th grade students tomorrow, and 6th grade
students on Friday.

I look forward to communicating with you through a variety of means,
including Connect-Ed calls, emails such as this, monthly memos, parent
coffees, PTO, School Council and more.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email. I am very excited about
the new school year, and I hope you are too.

Sincerely,

Sharon
