[Fuller Info] PARCC update to Fuller Families

Dear Fuller Families,

We are still early in the PARCC assessment season.  After two days of
assessment, we are pleased to share the following:

1)  With the support of the entire FPS Technology Team, the online process
has been mostly successful thus far.  Any glitches were easily resolved.
We were commended by the state, for pioneering the online assessment.

2)  So far, the feedback students have given us has been encouraging.  Some
students have shared that while the assessment is challenging, they felt
prepared for it.  We are praising students for their hard work and
perseverance, as well as the pride they display when they have finished.
We are very proud of the work we are accomplishing together as a learning
community, and we look forward to seeing the results of PARCC.  We will use
this data to better understand which standards we need to focus on
instruction for the future.

3)  If you have not already done so, we encourage you to read this message
from the Commissioner for Education in Massachusetts

current law on student assessment and the reasons why the state believes
student participation in the testing is essential.
